41st Boston Film Festival Partners with FAN EXPO Boston to Spotlight Animation Films Winner of BFF Animation Program to Screen at 2026 FAN EXPO Boston.
Boston, MA (August 9, 2025) – The Boston Film Festival (BFF) is thrilled to announce a new partnership with FAN EXPO Boston, to expand the BFF’s animation programming for 2025. Joining other panelists for the Making it in the Mass. Film Industry at FAN EXPO Boston 2025, Boston Film Festival Executive Director, shared the news of the exciting collaboration.
The region’s largest pop culture event, FAN EXPO Boston aims to celebrate and elevate animated storytelling by showcasing innovative and diverse voices in the genre.
For the first time, the winner of BFF’s Animation Program will be invited to screen their film at FAN EXPO Boston 2026, offering a unique platform to reach thousands of fans, creators, and industry professionals. In addition, as part of their partnership with BFF, FAN EXPO Boston will award a $500 prize to the Animation Program winner.
“This new partnership highlights a growing commitment to cross-industry collaboration and supports the growing demand for compelling animated content,” said Dawson. “The integration of the BFF’s animation spotlight into FAN EXPO’s expansive pop culture universe creates new exposure opportunities for filmmakers and elevates the visibility of the Boston Film Festival.”
